Shibusawa Study Group

Background
In 1989 visiting researchers and the museum's curators came together to form the Shibusawa Study Group, with the goal of studying Shibusawa Eiichi and the wide range of activities in which he was involved.

Support from the Shibusawa Eiichi Memorial Foundation
The Shibusawa Study Group meets roughly eight times a year for lectures and talks by group members and external researchers. The group edits and issues the Journal of Shibusawa Studies once a year. The Shibusawa Eiichi Memorial Foundation bears the publication costs for the journal and supports the study group in various other ways.

The Shibusawa Memorial Museum sends the Journal of Shibusawa Studies to institutions in several countries upon publication. Since it is not possible for the museum to mail individual copies of the journal overseas, please visit one of the institutions listed in the "Overseas Mailing List" if you wish to read the journal.
